Actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's much-awaited spy thriller Alpha has received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its theatrical release. According to the certification dated June 29, 2026, the Hindi version of the film, with English subtitles, has been granted a U/A 16+ certificate after the makers implemented several modifications suggested by the board.
The CBFC records reveal that the changes primarily relate to violent visuals and language. Among the modifications, certain visuals were replaced, a multiple stabbing sequence was toned down using alternate shots, and an
explicit word was removed from the film. No footage was deleted, with the board approving replacement visuals and edits instead.
Certification documents show that the board directed the filmmakers to replace a visual appearing at 25 minutes and 49 seconds. It also asked for the multiple stabbing sequence at 1 hour, 36 minutes and 41 seconds to be softened by using alternate shots.
In addition, a foul word used at 35 minutes and 53 seconds was removed, while another visual at 38 minutes and 12 seconds was modified. These revisions were completed before the film received certification.
