Akshaye Khann buys a new Mumbai property of Rs 33 crore

Actor Akshaye Khanna, who usually lives away from the city at a private property in Alibaug, has bought an apartment in Mumbai’s Malabar Hill area for Rs 33.26 crore. The purchase comes months after Dhurandhar emerged as a major box-office success and Khanna’s turn as Rehman Dakait made him one of the most talked-about actors on screen.

Khanna, who has largely stayed away from the celebrity spotlight, saw a fresh wave of popularity after Dhurandhar. His performance as Rehman Dakait, along with the character’s dialogue delivery and viral dance moments, sparked wide discussion online, and the attention continued after the film’s theatrical run as older videos and clips of the actor



resurfaced.

According to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards on the website of the Inspector General of Registration, Maharashtra, Khanna has invested Rs 33.26 crore in a new home at 30 Little Gibbs, Malabar Hill Road, Mumbai. The transaction was registered in September 2026.

As per the registration documents, the apartment has a carpet area of 2,341.39 square feet, or 217.52 square metres, and a balcony area of 175.45 square feet, or 16.29 square metres. The total area, including the balconies, is 2,516.84 square feet, or 233.82 square metres. The property also includes three parking units. The transaction drew a stamp duty payment of Rs 1.99 crore, while registration charges were Rs 30,000.
