Akshay Kumar to play tiger hunter in Priyadarshan's 1970s comedy: Report

Actor Akshay Kumar is set to team up with veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan for a new comedy project, where he will portray a quirky tiger hunter against a 1970s backdrop. Marking the director’s 99th feature film, the yet-untitled venture, produced by Ramesh Taurani, reunites the successful actor-director duo following their earlier collaborations.

The project is slated to go on floors in the final week of November, according to a report by Hindustan Times. The report mentioned that the three-month shooting schedule will



take place across wildlife locations in Rajasthan and a set in Mumbai, with the production team also scouting locations in Bhopal.

The ensemble cast features veteran actors Annu Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav, while casting for the female lead remains underway. The script has been co-written by Priyadarshan and Rohan Shankar, who previously collaborated on Bhooth Bangla.

According to HT, Priyadarshan remained tight-lipped, saying, "Let the project get locked then I will talk."
