Ajay Devgn is set to return to the action genre with Chauhaan, a Kashmir-based mass entertainer whose first look has now been unveiled. The title announcement video positions the film as an action spectacle and ends with a punchline that has drawn attention online.
The makers announced the film on Instagram on the birth anniversary of late action choreographer Veeru Devgan. Along with the glimpse, they wrote, “#CHAUHAAN aa raha hai. On the late Veeru Devgan Ji’s birth anniversary, we are bringing back our OG action star, Ajay Devgn, in an action entertainer built for the big screen. In cinemas on 1st October, 2027. Thank you Veeru Ji, for everything you gave to action cinema, and for a legacy
that continues to inspire generations.”
The video serves as a high-octane title announcement and presents Devgn in a fierce, larger-than-life action avatar. Its opening features a gritty monologue about conflict, referring to a period of 75 years, heavy military deployment and temporary solutions that have failed to end the unrest in Kashmir. The narrative then shifts to a direct warning, saying that the answer is coming, before culminating in the line, “Pathaanon se kehna, Chauhaan aa raha hai.”
The announcement was framed as a tribute to Veeru Devgan, with the makers thanking him for his contribution to Indian cinema while introducing Ajay Devgn’s new action role.
