Actor Rajesh Sharma hospitalised after suspected insect bite on Prabhas film set

Actor Rajesh Sharma suffered an insect bite while shooting for a film starring Prabhas at Ramoji Film City, according to an official statement shared on social media by actor Sudipa Chatterjee. The bite was suspected to be from a bug or a poisonous spider. The 45-year-old actor is now under treatment at a hospital in Kolkata.

Chatterjee said Sharma is not yet out of danger. He continues to suffer from high fever, breathlessness and a fast-spreading infection in his right leg, while doctors closely monitor his condition and carry out further investigations



and treatment.

According to the statement, the incident took place after pack-up, when Sharma was speaking to local technicians in an area surrounded by dense vegetation. He felt an insect bite at the time, but it did not appear serious, and he did not seek immediate medical attention.

About six hours later, he began to feel severe pain in his right leg and also felt unwell. Despite this, he boarded a flight back to Kolkata. During the journey, he developed a high fever, became increasingly restless, and his condition worsened further.
