Vice chancellor of University of Hyderabad, Professor Appa Rao Podile, on Wednesday inaugurated Zakir Hussain Lecture Hall complex at university campus. The 3-storey building is constructed by Central Public Works Department.

It consists of 100 and 200 seater class rooms, one conference hall and faculty rooms on the ground floor among other rooms for officials. Appa Rao said this was the dream project of former V-C Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, who took the initiative for constructing this building from the University Potential for Excellence (UPE II) budget.
