The Young India Skill University Board has decided to commence courses in the university after Dasara. The courses would be conducted temporarily at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI).

To begin with, healthcare, e- commerce and logistics courses would be launched. To conduct these courses, Apollo, AIG, LensKart, FlipKart, Amazon, O9 Solutions and a few other companies have come forward. The university Board aims to train 2,000 people in the first year.

These decisions were taken during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Thursday. University Board Chairman Mahindra Anand and other senior officials participated in the meeting.

said that 150 acres of land and Rs 100 crore had been allotted to the university on behalf of the State government. He asked the industrialists to come forward for establish a corpus fund for the full-scale management of the university. He called for the construction of buildings in the university. The officials were advised to name these buildings after their companies or donors.

The Chief Minister said that his government would focus on the establishment of Young India Sports University from now. He said that a sports university will be set up in around 200 acres and training will be provided to the athletes with the aim of bringing a gold medal to India in the 2028 Olympics.
