UPSC Civil Services prelims to be held on May 23

The Union Public Service Commission has released its much-awaited examination calendar for 2027, giving lakhs of aspirants across the country a clear roadmap for one of India?s most competitive examination cycles.

According to the official schedule, the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) Preliminary Examination 2027 will be conducted on May 23, 2027. The exam remains the gateway for prestigious services including IAS, IPS, IFS and several central government administrative



posts.

The Commission has announced that the notification for UPSC CSE 2027 will be released on January 13, 2027, while the last date to submit applications will be February 2, 2027.

The Civil Services (Main) Examination 2027 is scheduled to begin from August 20, 2027, and will continue for five days.

Notably, the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2027 will also be conducted through the same Civil Services Preliminary Examination.
