UoH extends PhD application deadline till May 21

The University of Hyderabad (UoH) on Tuesday extended the deadline for submission of online applications for its PhD programmes for the upcoming July 2026 session till May 21 (5.30 pm).

Prospective candidates can submit their completed applications, along with the requisite fee, through the official university admission portal, UoH admission portal, before the closing time.

All other terms, conditions and eligibility criteria specified in the original notification dated April 30, 2026, remain unchanged, the UoH said.

Minister asks officials to eliminate gaps in exam process

According to an official statement, Pradhan instructed authorities to ensure that the Re-NEET examination is held in a secure, seamless and foolproof manner under stringent security protocols.

He emphasised the need for maintaining the credibility of the examination process and directed officials to implement corrective measures wherever weaknesses had been identified earlier.

The minister also called for close coordination between central and local authorities to strengthen monitoring mechanisms on the ground.
