The United Arab Emirates has announced that all schools, universities and higher education institutions across the country will shift to distance learning from Monday, March 2 to Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
As per leading media reports, the decision comes in response to rising regional tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
Recent days have seen missile exchanges, emergency alerts and heightened security measures across parts of the Gulf.
The UAE Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed that the temporary move is a precautionary step aimed at safeguarding students, teachers and administrative staff.
