TSPSC extends last date for applications

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on Monday has extended the last date to submit applications for the posts of Mandal Planning and Statistical Officers/ASO, Village Revenue Officer (VRO) and Senior Steno in Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) and Home Department till 11.59 p.m. on Sunday, July 8.

The decision was taken following representations made by many candidates that they were unable to submit applications on Monday, which was the last day of receiving applications, due to a server failure. 

According to TSPSC, the service provider has reported that a record 12,000 concurrent hits per second on the server were recorded on Monday; as a result of which some of the applications could not be accepted



online.

Monday being the last day for submission of applications, a record 9.25 lakh applications were received so far for VRO posts, 75,000 applications received for ASO and 500 applications received for Sr. Steno in CCLA and Home Department.

The TSPSC officials also assured that the failed transaction amounts will be refunded back to the individual accounts of candidates at the earliest. 

Following the server failure, the TSPSC officials have directed the service provider to take immediate steps to resolve the technical issues. 

Officials said that the internet bandwidth was presently increased to handle the heavy load on the server and other issues have also been resolved by CGG.
