Vijayawada: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences has announced the tentative schedule for admission into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2015-16 for Telangana students. Counselling will be held from July 29. Addressing press persons here on Wednesday, NTRUHS Vice-Chancellor T Ravi Raju said the total number of MBBS seats in medical colleges affiliated to Osmania University were 2,550 seats. 

Out of the total, government seats are 850 and the convener quota seats 725. The number of BDS seats in private colleges is 1,000. The intake of two government colleges is 140. The share of medical seats of Andhra University, Osmania University and Sri Venkateshwara University is 42 per cent, 36 per cent and 22 per cent,



respectively. 

The percentage of unreserved seats in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is 15. There will be three counselling centres in Telangana, two in Hyderabad and one in Warangal. The office of the NTR University of Health Sciences will be the only centre in Andhra Pradesh. The technical support for counselling will be provided by JNTU. 

Giving the details of MBBS fee structure, he said it was Rs 10,000 per annum in government colleges and Rs 60,000 for convener quota seats. The fee for B and C category seats is Rs 9 lakh and Rs 11 lakh.  The BDS course fee in government colleges is Rs 9,000 per annum. The fee for A, B and C category seats is Rs 40,000, Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, respectively, he said.
