Telangana Govt service no longer mandatory for MBBS and BDS graduates

Telangana State government on Saturday issued orders removing the mandatory government service for a period of one year, for the MBBS and BDS graduates.

According to the Government Order issued on Saturday, Principal Secretary (Medical and Health department) Rajeswar Tiwari said that the medical graduates were



exempted from the purview of “compulsory government service” which was essential for registration with the Telangana State Medical Council.

The Telangana Junior Doctors Association (TJDA) had been demanding the removal of compulsory government service at the MBBS level since the formation of Telangana.
