The Telangana education department has directed private unaided schools to publicly display their class-wise fee structure for the 2026-27 academic year on their school notice boards and websites.

According to PTI, state director of school education E Naveen Nicolas said officials have been instructed to ensure that all private unaided schools under their jurisdiction upload their fee details on the education department’s portal, schooledu.telangana.gov.in, in addition to displaying them on their campuses and websites.

The department has also asked school managements to upload documents supporting the fee structure fixed for each class for 2026-27. These documents must carry the signatures of members of the school’s governing body,

as required under the relevant provisions of a 1994 government order.

The Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers have been asked to ensure compliance with the directions, the department said in a release.

A provision has been created on the education department’s portal to allow private schools to upload their fee structures and related documents, Nicolas said.

The department has also directed officials to issue show-cause notices to schools that fail to display their fee structure on the notice board and website.

Schools that do not comply with the directions will face action under the provisions of the 1994 government order, the department said.
