The state government of Rajasthan has decided to reduce the syllabus for students of classes 10 to 5 by at least 48 percent for the academic year 2020-21. The syllabus has been reduced for school students due to the excess academic pressure on students amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Department of Education, Rajasthan recently issued a notice in which it announced that the syllabus of class 1 to 5 students has been set to 52 percent this year by RBSE. The department of education made this announcement through its official Twitter account.

This decision to cut down the syllabus for the primary classes was taken to maintain and promote the continuity of the learning and teaching process in students during the closure of schools amid the

ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Though the syllabus for students of classes 1 to 5 has been reduced by 48 percent for this academic year, there is no update regarding the reduction of the syllabus for students of classes 6 and higher as of now by the department of education.

The students of Rajasthan are still uncertain regarding the conduction of the board exams in 2021 amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has not released any update regarding the same yet.

The exam forms for students who are set to appear for the board exams are released in November each year, but RBSE has not released an update yet due to the uncertain situation caused by the ongoing pandemic, leaving the school students confused.
