Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to re-open schools and colleges in non-border districts of Jammu as well as Kashmir divisions from today. This was disclosed by Education Minister Sakeena Itoo in a social media post. The decision to open schools and colleges was taken after a comprehensive review



of the ground situation in the aftermath of recent cross-border shelling incidents. 

The educational institutions in border areas will remain closed as a precautionary measure for the safety of students as well as staff.
