Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank asking him to instruct educational instuitions with residential spaces to faciliate regular communication between their students and parents during the Coronavirus lockdown.

He also requested the ministry to ensure that students get uninterrupted essential supplies while staying in hostels, especially in residential schools like Jawahar Navodaya



Vidyalayas, in view of the 21-day lockdown enforced from Tuesday midnight to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

"I request the Ministry to issue instructions to educational institutions with residential facilities to facilitate regular communication between students and their families. I would also like to request the Ministry to ensure uninterrupted supply of basic necessities, especially in residential schools like JNVs," he said.
