Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-followed initiative Pariksha Pe Charcha has set a global benchmark. The programme, held annually since 2018, has now entered the Guinness World Records for receiving the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.” In its 8th edition, the event saw an unprecedented 3.53 crore valid registrations through the MyGov platform.
The announcement was made during a formal ceremony in New Delhi, where the Guinness World Record certificate was presented by adjudicator Rishi Nath.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with IT and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, MoS Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada, and other senior officials, attended the event.

Minister Dharmendra Pradhan noted that PPC has redefined India’s approach to exams. The 2025 edition reached over 21 crore people across media platforms, reflecting wide public trust. “It is no longer just an event; it’s a campaign for holistic learning,” he said.
Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the larger vision behind the programme. He pointed out that the growing public interest in Pariksha Pe Charcha reflects increasing awareness of student mental well-being and the government’s focus on nurturing confidence through communication.
Minister Jitin Prasada lauded MyGov’s role in ensuring wide digital participation. “This record is also a milestone for participatory governance. Technology has made it possible to connect millions with ease,” he said.
