PM Modi to visit DU's SRCC on September 5, Pralhad Joshi also to attend: Sources

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Delhi’s Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) campus on September 5 as the Chief Guest at an event marking the 100 years of the college, a source from SRCC has confirmed to India Today Digital.

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi will also visit the campus for the event. The event is coinciding with National Teachers'



Day.

The visit comes at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is stepping up its outreach to younger Indians, particularly Gen Z, whose political and social preferences are increasingly becoming part of the national conversation.

For SRCC, however, the visit also marks a return. Prime Minister Modi had last visited the college in 2013, when he was the chief minister of Gujarat.
