On the New Education Policy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday commented that how students can be skilled to make them ready for the future. He said that with this policy, students could grow up to become nation-builders. PM Modi delivered the inaugural address at the ‘Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under New Education Policy’ through video conferencing.

The conclave was organised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Along with PM Modi, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, and other prominent academicians also



attended it where they discussed various aspects of the New Education Policy.

“NEP 2021 will set the base of the 21st century nation,” said PM Narendra Modi, adding that the National Education Policy speaks about how students can be skilled to make them ready for the future.

He said that with this policy, students could grow up to become nation-builders.

“How can we boost critical thinking and innovative thinking in children if there is no passion for education and no philosophy of education,” he said.
