Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday marked Engineers’ Day by paying tribute to Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary. He lauded the legendary engineer’s role in shaping India’s modern infrastructure and inspiring future generations.
Taking to X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Today, on Engineers’ Day, I pay homage to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose brilliance left an indelible mark on India's engineering landscape. I extend warm greetings to all engineers who, through their creativity and determination,
continue to drive innovation and tackle tough challenges across sectors.”
He further expressed confidence that Indian engineers will remain at the forefront of building a Viksit Bharat with their expertise and innovation.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his wishes, describing engineers as the drivers of India’s technological rise. Remembering Visvesvaraya, he said, “On the Jayanti of Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya Ji, I bow to the legendary engineer who set us on this transformative path.”
