More than four crore people have registered for the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, surpassing last year's Guinness World Record with 3.53 crore registrations.

This underlines the growing reach of the Prime Minister’s annual interaction with students ahead of board examinations.

Of the total registrations, around 3.75 crore are students, reflecting the programme’s strong connection with young exam candidates across the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he was looking forward to interacting with students, parents and teachers during the event, which focusses on reducing exam stress and encouraging a positive approach towards assessments.

The interaction comes at a time when Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations are approaching across various education boards.

Taking to X, the Prime Minister said he was keen to hear directly from students about their questions and experiences.

“The Class X and XII board exams are

approaching and so is this year's #ParikshaPeCharcha,” he said, inviting students to share their thoughts and concerns.

In another post, the Prime Minister emphasised that the event would focus on helping students stay calm and confident during examinations.

“Looking forward to interacting with students, parents and teachers on different aspects of exams, most notably ways to overcome exam stress, remaining calm, confident and appearing for exams with a smile,” the prime minister said.

Pariksha Pe Charcha has become a key platform where students from different backgrounds get an opportunity to interact directly with the country’s top leadership.

Over the years, the event has expanded to include parents and teachers, recognising their role in supporting students during examination periods.

The strong registration numbers this year suggest that the programme continues to resonate with families and educators seeking guidance on academic pressure, mental well-being and performance anxiety.
