OU opens diploma admissions in foreign languages

The Departments of French and German, University of College of Arts & Social Sciences (UCA&SS), Osmania University (OU) have issued notifications for admissions into diploma courses in foreign languages.

The admissions are being offered into four months compressed junior/senior diploma courses in French/German, and advanced diploma (one academic year) in French/German for the academic year 2021-22. Candidates who passed the intermediate examination or equivalent exam are eligible to apply for a junior diploma course.

For the senior diploma course, the applicants must have secured 50 per cent marks at



junior diploma or in the second language at graduation level. A minimum of 50 per cent marks in the senior diploma is required for admissions into the advanced diploma course.

Candidates who learnt the languages elsewhere may be required to appear for a special entrance test in UCA&SS, the OU said on Tuesday.
