Osmania University is No.1 State varsity: Survey

Hyderabad: Osmania University has been ranked as the number one university among all the State universities across the country in a survey conducted by India Today Group-Nielsen.  This was announced by University Registrar Prof E Suresh Kumar at a press conference here on Wednesday.  

Suresh said the university was also rated number 1 among all the universities in South India including the Central universities. Besides, the university has been



ranked fifth in the entire country including the Central universities. Reputation of the university, quality of academic input, faculty, research publication and reports, students and infrastructure, admission procedure, placement opportunities, global exposure and students’ security arrangements were taken as the parameters for ranking, he added.  “Efforts are on to get into the list of top 200 universities across the world,” Suresh said.
