The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that students who appeared for the Accountancy paper of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 between May 13 and 16 will be given the option to either retain their original scores or appear for a retest under a revised exam pattern.
Effective from May 22, 2025, the revised pattern introduces a choice in the Accountancy paper, allowing candidates to answer
questions from either Unit V: Computerised Accounting Systems or an optional unit. In the previous structure, Unit V was mandatory, which placed some candidates — especially those less familiar with computerised accounting — at a disadvantage. The updated format is intended to offer flexibility and align the exam with students’ areas of strength. According to NTA’s official notice, the revision was implemented in consultation with subject matter experts.
