The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released a notice, allowing students to pick the exam dates of their choice for the final attempt of the JEE Main 2021 exam in May, to avoid a clash in exam day with the CBSE board exams 2021.

The CBSE board exams 2021 dates for classes 10 and 12 were announced on December 31, 2020. The exams are set to commence from May 4 and end on June 10, clashing with the May attempt of the JEE Main 2021 exam.

In the official notice, NTA stated that students will be able to pick an exam date of their choice for the JEE Main 2021 exam. Students will also be required to upload their CBSE board exams roll number so that NTA can avoid any clashes with the exam dates.

Apart from the board roll number,

candidates will also have to fill out their board name during the time of registration. NTA will open the registration window for the May attempt of JEE Main 2021 exam from May 3 and close it on May 12.

The official notice states that candidates who will be appearing for the Class 12 Board examination, as well as JEE Main exam, will have to provide the information under ‘Whether appearing for Board examination on any of the dates May 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2021’ and select a date.

The official notice also states that filling out the information in the proper format in the application form will help the candidates avoid any clash in the board examination dates and JEE exam dates. The May attempt of the JEE Main will be conducted from May 24 to 28, 2021.
