The Ministry of Education will announce the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2025 on September 4. Students, faculty, and institutions can access the rankings on the official website - nirfindia.org. This year's release has been delayed compared to previous editions.
The NIRF rankings highlight the top universities, colleges, and institutions across India in 15 categories - Overall, Universities, Colleges,
Research Institutions, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, Law, Architecture and Planning, Agriculture and Allied Sectors, Open University, Skill University, and State Public University.
The evaluation is based on broad parameters such as teaching, learning and resources; research and professional practice; graduation outcomes; outreach and inclusivity; and peer perception. Each category has its own weightage and methodology.
