NEET UG 2026 re-test result by July 20, NTA assures no delay in MBBS academic year

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the re-NEET UG 2026 results will be declared by July 20, NTA sources told India Today, assuring that the medical academic calendar will not be affected.

The exam was conducted on June 21 after the cancellation of the May 3 NEET-UG due to alleged paper leak concerns involving over 20 lakh



candidates.

The official said the agency is working on a “war footing” to complete the evaluation and resolve around 10,000 challenges submitted by candidates on the provisional answer key.

Each challenge is being scanned, verified and matched with supporting evidence before finalisation, the official added.
