The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the removal of a single MBBS seat from the All India Quota (AIQ) matrix for the NEET UG 2025-26 Special Stray Vacancy Round.

The decision comes just days before the ongoing counselling process for undergraduate medical admissions enters a critical phase, highlighting MCC's focus on ensuring transparency and accuracy in seat

allotments.

According to the official MCC notification, the withdrawn MBBS seat belonged to the OP No category under AIQ and was allocated to the Government Medical College, Manjeri, in Kerala's Malappuram district. The committee confirmed that only one seat has been affected and that it will no longer be available for choice filling or allotment during the Special Stray Vacancy Round.
