The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be held only once unlike the JEE exam which will be held four times this year.


Director-General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Vineet Joshi, told NDTV that the NEET 2021 date would be announced this week.


Once the details and application forms are out, interested students who want to study medical can register



for NEET on the official website ntaneet.nic.in.


Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had earlier said that the government was thinking of holding NEET multiple times a year.


Pokhriyal had said earlier that the NEET 2021 syllabus will be as usual, as declared by NTA. It will not take into account the board exam syllabus reduction due to Covid-19 lockdown and school closures.
