The Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) will soon commence calligraphy classes especially designed for women at Urdu Hall, Himayatnagar, said the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan.
Speaking at a meeting held with the MANUU Alumni Association on Tuesday, Prof. Hasan urged the alumni association to work to connect Urdu intellectuals, teachers, and students with MANUU and ensure more admissions of local students.

praised Hyderabad’s contribution to Urdu literature, emphasizing the need to create a platform for scholars to showcase their work and recognise their contributions. He also shared plans to introduce innovative, skill-enhancing courses at MANUU to meet the evolving needs of the students and the academic world.
Earlier, the Alumni Association, led by Nasir Hussain Shoaib, general secretary, felicitated Prof. Hasan on being conferred the Padma Shri by the President of India.
