The Prime Minister said that toys are "very important for the development of children" and that India should become a global leader in its manufacturing, at his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat.

To which Rahul Gandhi said on twitter and said The NEET and JEE aspirants were expecting the PM to talk on the issues of the entrance exams whereas he decided to talk on toys.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had gone on twitter before to oppose the centre’s decision on conducting NEET/JEE 2020 in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic.

Rahul Gandhi said, “NEET-JEE aspirants’ safety should not be compromised due to the failures of the Govt.”

“Govt must listen to all stakeholders and arrive at a consensus,” he also added.
