JEE Main 2027 application form soon: NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to release the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2027 application form. While candidates look forward to registration, understanding what qualifying JEE Main actually means is equally important. NTA will conduct JEE Main 2027 Session 1 in January between January 22 and 30, and Session 2 in April, the dates of which are not announced yet.

Clearing JEE Main does not automatically guarantee admission to an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT) or Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). The examination serves different purposes in the engineering admission



process, and candidates must meet the relevant eligibility criteria and participate in the prescribed admission process to secure a seat.

NTA conducts JEE Main, which is used for admission to participating engineering institutions and serves as the qualifying examination for candidates seeking to appear for JEE Advanced, the entrance examination for undergraduate programmes at IITs.

As of October 21, the official JEE Main website lists information and notices for the 2026 examination cycle. Candidates should check the official JEE Main website for the 2027 application notification and avoid relying on unconfirmed registration dates.
