Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened the re-registration window for the January 2026 academic session. The portal went live on December 1, 2025, for all learners enrolled in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes. Students can now submit their forms on the official website, ignou.ac.in. The last date to complete the process is January 15, 2026.
Students can log in to update their details, choose courses, and pay the required fee for the next semester or year. The university
has stated that re-registration is mandatory for all existing learners who wish to continue their programmes in the upcoming cycle. According to an official statement, incorrect course selection could lead to delays in the academic schedule.
IGNOU has asked students to make payments only through the approved online modes—debit or credit cards, net banking, or UPI. In case a payment is delayed, learners are advised to wait before retrying. If a double payment occurs, one amount will be refunded automatically.
