IGNOU has announced the launch of a Master of Arts (MA) degree in the Bhagavad Gita, offering students a structured academic study of the sacred text. The two-year programme is designed to explore Indian knowledge traditions and their relevance to contemporary issues such as ethical values, leadership, conflict resolution, environmental concerns, and socio-political
contexts.
The university has also rolled out other specialised courses, including a postgraduate diploma in Disaster Management, a Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Home Science.
All the programmes are aligned with the University Grants Commission’s framework and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, offering a blend of theory and skill-based learning.
