The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the schedule for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, ICSE (Class 10) and Indian School Certificate, ISC (Class 12) examinations for the academic year 2026.
The announcement brings clarity and relief to lakhs of students, parents, and teachers across India and abroad gearing up for these pivotal board exams.
Approximately 2.6 lakh students are expected to appear for the ICSE (Class 10) exams, while about 1.5 lakh students will take the ISC (Class 12)
exams.
This year’s examination calendar has been thoughtfully designed to balance academic rigour with student well-being, allowing candidates adequate time between major subjects for preparation and revision.
According to the official notification, the ICSE examinations will begin on February 17, 2026, and conclude on March 30, 2026, while the ISC examinations are scheduled from February 12, 2026, to April 6, 2026.
The timetable covers 75 subjects for ICSE and 50 subjects for ISC, maintaining CISCE’s tradition of offering a diverse and comprehensive curriculum.
