The Centre for Digital Learning Training and Resources (CDLTR) at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has announced the launch of two online certificate courses – Advanced Malariology: Biology of Parasitism and Drug Resistance (2 credits) and Samsadhani-Pravesika: Learning Sanskrit using Computational Tools (4 credits).

Both courses, commencing on July 15 have been designed to bridge critical gaps in traditional education and specialized scientific research. In alignment with modern educational standards, the courses carry academic credits that are fully transferable across universities. Upon

successful completion, candidates will be awarded a formal certificate from the UoH.

The newly introduced curriculum targets distinct, high-demand areas in both the humanities and sciences. “Schools and colleges do not provide enough training to read and understand Sanskrit literature and this course will fill that gap,” said Prof. Salman Abdul Moiz, Director of CDLTR.

The university is planning to introduce a broader suite of skill-focused online courses, culminating in the formal rollout of full online UG and PG degree programs starting in the academic year 2027–28.
