As per a circular sent to the higher education regulators across the country by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), it is stated that all teachers, researchers and non-teaching staff should be permitted and advised to work from home till July 31.

Since the closure of educational institutes across the country has been further extended till July 31 due to the ongoing pandemic situation across the nation, the HRD Ministry has advised all teachers to work from home for their own safety and well-being.

The circular issued by the HRD Ministry regarding this subject also said that online courses and distance learning is the way to continue education and will be



encouraged in this environment.

According to the circular issued by the HRD Ministry, the period till July 31 will be counted as on duty for all the staff members who are working from home and have valid contracts till July 31.

The circular has also suggested that all the students and faculty members download the Aarogya Setu app to be well informed and fight against the Covid-19 pandemic that is spread in our country.

The circular reads, “Aarogya Setu App enables easy identification of potential risk of infection and, therefore, it may be ensured that Aarogya Setup App is installed by the students, faculty and employees to fight against COVID-19.”
