Himachal Pradesh govt to scrap semester system in under-graduate courses

The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to do away with semester system in under-graduate courses and revert to annual examination system. Education Minister Suresh Bharadwaj said yesterday that the decision has been taken on the recommendation made by a review committee



on the issue. 

Asserting that the thrust of the government was on qualitative improvement in education, he said that a decision has also been taken to start nursery classes in 3,000 schools from this year.
