As students across the country prepare for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams, the Central Board of Secondary Education has started its first phase of free psycho-social counselling services from January 6.

The services are aimed at supporting examinees in managing stress and maintaining emotional balance as they move closer to the exams.

The counselling initiative offers guidance to both students and parents, focusing on emotional and psychological challenges often experienced during the examination cycle.

Services will continue until June 1, 2026.

The CBSE theory examinations for 2026 will begin on February 17. Students are encouraged to use these support systems as they prepare for the

assessments.

CBSE has set up a 24x7 toll-free Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) at 1800-11-8004.

Through this helpline, students can access support in both Hindi and English at any time. The IVRS offers tips on exam preparation, time management, stress reduction, answers to common queries, and important CBSE contact information.

In addition to the IVRS, tele-counselling services are available from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on all working days.

A panel of 73 trained professionals, including principals, counsellors, special educators from CBSE-affiliated schools, and psychologists, will provide support.

Of these, 61 are based in India, while 12 operate from Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE, ensuring a wide support network.
