University exams in Rajasthan will be held in offline mode this year, says CM Ashok Gehlot

In recent news, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced that the university exams for final year students will be conducted in the offline mode this year amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The examinations will be conducted in accordance with the UGC guidelines, he said.

The state government has also announced that special exams would be held for those students who might not be able to appear for the exams in the middle of the pandemic. The exams will be conducted with several safety guidelines in place to reduce the risk of



infection.

In his tweet, the chief minister said, “Offline examinations will be held for university students in the final year/semester according to the Supreme Court and UGC guidelines this year so that the authenticity of the exams is maintained and no questions are raised on the students’ degrees.”

This decision was taken at a high-level meeting held at the residence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot along with other officials. The Minister also said that the Higher Education Department of the state would issue detailed guidelines in this regard soon.
