UGC launches new research fellowship and research grants schemes

The University Grant Commission has launched new research fellowship and research grants schemes. They are Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Fellowship for Single Girl Child, Dr Radhakrishnan UGC Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Superannuated Faculty Members Fellowship, Research Grant for In-Service Faculty Members and Dr D S Kothari Research Grant for Newly Recruited Faculty Members.

Kumar said, UGC has been giving research grants from time to time in different kinds of fellowship to enable the research ecosystem in the Universities across the country. He said, earlier UGC had formed a committee to review all these scheme and come up with more focussed on research and fellowship schemes. Mr Kumar said, following which these five schemes has been launched.
