UGC Chairperson Mamidala Jagdesh Kumar has issued a call to all eligible students, urging them to apply for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET Undergraduate) – 2024 as early as possible to avoid a last-minute rush. This comes as part of an effort to streamline and simplify the process of university admissions across the country.

The CUET-UG, mandated by the Ministry of Education and UGC, is managed by the National Testing Agency. It serves as a gateway to undergraduate studies at Central Universities under the Ministry of Education and other participating universities, institutions, organisations, and autonomous colleges nationwide. It aims to provide applicants with

single-point access to various academic institutions across the country.

The list of participating universities is dynamic, with the current tally standing at over 200, including 46 Central, 36 State, 20 Deemed, and 105 Private Universities, alongside 6 Government Institutions. The number of institutions accepting the CUET-UG scores is on the rise, indicating the growing significance and acceptance of the test.

The main highlights of the CUET (UG) - 2024 include the vast array of participating universities, details about eligibility criteria, the scheme of examination, and examination fees. These details are available in the Information Bulletin on the NTA's official website.
