Telangana Govt plans to set up polytechnic college to promote organic farming

Telangana government plans to set up an exclusive polytechnic college for promotion of organic farming in the State, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said.

The Minister said the proposal for setting up organic farming polytechnic college has to



be examined by the Cabinet and a decision will be taken accordingly.

Telangana people are consuming 40 different types of vegetables and of these 24 types are being cultivated in the State and the rest are being imported from other States, he informed.
