On Tuesday, February 22, the Supreme Court agreed to hear the plea seeking cancellation of physical exams for CBSE, CISCE, and other state board examinations. A bench led by Justice AM Khanwilkar directed that an advanced copy of the petition be served on the CBSE and other concerned respondents in the case.

Earlier, students have approached the apex court seeking intervention against the board exams which are scheduled to be



conducted by CBDER, CISCE, NIOS, and other state boards.

The plea filed by the class 10 and 12 students of over 15 states sought an alternative assessment method for the upcoming board exams.

CBSE has released the examination dates for the term 2 board exams. As per the date sheet, the board will begin examinations on April 26. It is expected that CSISE will also conduct the term 2 board exams in April-May.
