NMC releases new list for PG medical courses

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has recently released a comprehensive list of medical colleges set to initiate new postgraduate medical courses or expand their intake of seats on PG medical courses starting from the academic year 2024-2025. This compilation encompasses approximately 172 colleges that will commence postgraduate medical courses, spanning disciplines such as MD in Microbiology, MD/MS in Anatomy, MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MD in Pharmacology, and MD in Dermatology Venerology, amongst others. Additionally, the roster features 37 colleges that intend to augment their intake of postgraduate seats for the forthcoming academic



session.

According to the official notice, the NMC has dispatched notices concerning 102 additional online applications for the initiation of new PG medical courses and the amplification of seats on existing PG medical courses for the academic year 2024-25. These notifications have been transmitted via email to the respective Medical Institutions/Colleges for their acknowledgement and requisite measures within the designated timeframe.

A detailed list containing the application numbers for each of the aforementioned 102 online applications has been appended to the Public Notice for wider dissemination.
