The cut-off date for completing the mandatory medical internship for NEET PG has again been extended to August 11 by the National Board of Examination (NBE) after the earlier extension to June 30. This is a blessing for students who internship period wouldn’t get over within June 30 or earlier.

The application window will now be open from February 9, 3 pm onwards, till February 12, 11:55 pm. Those who will be filling the NEET PG 2023 application form in this window will need to submit the examination fee by February 15, 2023.

However, students are still waiting for the actual exam date to be postponed. NBE has fixed the NEET PG 2023 exam date for March 5 and the results would be out by March 31, but

students won’t be able to participate in the medical counselling process which would be held in July unless they complete their one-year internship.

Since there is a long gap wherein students would be idle, they are requesting the authorities to postpone the NEET PG 2023 exam by six to eight weeks. This would help them prepare for their exams better, and also complete their internships.

“It is seriously a great decision taken by the National Board of Examination and we are grateful to NBE,” said Gaurav Tyagi, Founder of Career Xpert, while commenting on the latest move by MBE.

“But the postponement of the NEET PG examination is also. We can just hope for the best,” he added.
