Jamia Millia Islamia’s Department of Economics has achieved 100 per cent internship placement for its fourth batch of MSc Banking and Financial Analytics (BFA) students.

All MSc BFA 4 semester (2022-2024) students secured internships in nationalised banks namely Indian Bank and various corporate entities such as Genpact, CRISIL Ltd, GFK, Acxiom Consulting, and RevFin, among others, mentioned the release.

To provide an industry immersive experience entire four semesters of the course are devoted to industry internship and capstone projects so that course participants can fine-tune their skills learned in the classroom and make themselves industry-ready.

MSc BFA is a two-year master’s programme run by the Department since 2019. The content of the programme is highly aligned



with changing needs of the analytics Industry. The course is focused on 360-degree skilling of students for the analytics Industry. In addition, learning applied finance and advanced statistics students are trained in using software like R, Python, Stata, SQL, and PowerBI for data management, visualisation, and quantitative modeling. Students are also trained in modern data science tools such as machine learning and AI.

Meanwhile, the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is inviting online applications for free coaching (with a hostel facility) for the preparation of the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary-cum-Main) examination 2024. As per the revised schedule, candidates now have time till June 19 to fill the online application form for the free UPSC coaching by Jamia.
