The CBSE board results for Classes 10 and 12 were declared today. Once again, the board has decided to not announce a merit list or toppers list to avoid putting mental pressure on the students. More importantly, no one has scored a perfect 100% this year -- neither in Class 12 nor in Class 10.

Speaking to India Today, CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardawaj said, “The board is not trying to pressure students. We want to cut unhealthy competition. It is the result of the school and students can communicate with them. Let the schools decide whether to inform the media or relatives or the

public. We will not mention the first, second or third division. We are saying 'passed' whether the child gets 100% or 30% marks.”

Girls' pass percentage is 6.01% better than that of boys. However, the pass percentage has reduced in both genders as compared to last year. Last year, 91.25 percent of boys cleared the CBSE board exams, while this year, only 84.67 of boys have passed.

Last year, 94 percent of girls cleared while this year, only 90.68 students have passed. With a pass percentage above 97%, Jawahar Naavodaya Vidyalaya did the best among the schools.
