The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has decided to hold the examinations of both Class 10th and 12th in the North East Delhi from today as per schedule given in the date sheet. Earlier, the Board had to postponed the examinations following the violence erupted in the area. 

The Board said that it is also prepared to hold examinations at a later date for such candidates who would not be able to appear for the examinations upto  7th of this month. It has asked the school Principals and the Directorate of Education, Delhi to provide a list of such candidates.
 
The CBSE said, as the Class XII and X examinations would be conducted as per schedule, all concerned



are requested to provide support to the candidates who are able to appear for the examinations from today onwards. Those candidates who would not be able to appear are requested to contact their school Principals, who would then send the report to the CBSE. The board is committed to take care of the interests of all its students.
 
The Board said, further delay in conducting Classes XII examinations may hamper the chances of admissions in professional courses like medical, engineering, law and other UG admissions. CBSE has also written to Delhi Police Commissioner to make adequate security arrangements in and around Examination centres located in North East Delhi.
